Only came for food, but made very welcome by the owners and Boston, the lovely gentleman dog who welcomed us in. Great service and lovely food - would definitely recommend!

It's a typical old Scottish hotel, warm and dry rooms with a good shower. Breakfast is excellent, best haggis and black pudding I've tasted in years.

This hotel is one of the leading hotels exclusively in Callander. Although the hotel itself is old and outdated, the only few choices make this place great as you have no other selections. Do not expect it is Hilton and Sheraton but the price of each night is comparable to Holiday inn. Good stay guys

The hotel was used for a lunch stop on a bus tour. We only had an hour. They didn't seem like they are staffed for a lunch rush but Tracy worked super hard, raced around to try and ensure everyone was taken care of. Food was very good. If you are on a bus tour, go directly there. Was a better experience than trying to get Food To Go from any other place. Thanks Tracy and Emily.

Ja mogę się wypowiedzieć jedynie o restauracji. Jedzonko dobre obsługa bardzo miła. Wnętrze ok. Widać że dużo lokalsow co moim zdaniem przemawia na korzyść takiego miejsca.

Bad room, bad bed, nobody at reception. Loud all evening because of karaoke in the bar downstairs

Enjoyed an overnight stay here in Stirling Scotland, where we could drink and listened to the barman playing the guitar at the bar and the hotel restaurant served morning breakfast; however the old hotel room needed some upgrades.

We had lunch in mc nabs bar lounge but our meals could have been hotter, toilets (well) need renovating. Decor not bad I suppose in keeping with time hotel built. As for the hotel many cracks in walls and ceilings and will need a princely some to take it back to original decor which it desperately needs. I noticed the barman had a dirty bonnet on his head which really looked bad in a bar

Sunday roast was lovely, service was excellent. The place was freezing, and not a warm welcome from a growling dog 😟

Fantastic hotel right in the centre of Callander, supremely characterful and authentic with friendly staff who are typically welcoming, and maintain the great atmosphere you'd hope for from a place like this! Place was spotless and the rooms (while straight out of the 1980's), were so comfortable, clean, fully equipped, and most importantly warm! Recommend the full Scottish breakfast (see photo) sure it's not included with the room, but well worth the extra ££ - the evening live music each night I was there and the restaurant service are on point and very satisfying. What else, nearby walks are superb, especially after storms when even a path becomes an obstacle course, and there are plenty of pubs and bakeries to rest your legs. 10/10 for a weekend break!

Was in McNabs which is the bar in the Dreadnought Hotel, has a log burner and a very cosy feel to it. The staff are super friendly too.
